7. December 2023Social commitment at Christmas: 6 donation cheques that will do good

Christmas is approaching and it is a matter close to our hearts to help. This year, children in need and their families will receive support. That is why we are foregoing Christmas presents for customers and instead supporting organisations throughout Germany with 6 donation cheques, all of which are committed to the well-being of children.

“This year, we have decided to help several organisations in Germany with a donation at all 6 major GREIF locations. As in previous years, the focus is clearly on supporting children. All of the organisations we have selected do a great job and are a valuable help when it comes to providing loving and supportive care for children and young people. For this reason, we have increased the donation amount this year and supported each organisation with €2,500,” says Julia Reiter, Head of Marketing and Communication, GREIF Mietwäsche.

The following organisations received a donation cheque from us:

Augsburg location – Der Bunte Kreisstrong,
Der bunte Kreis Augsburg helps chronically ill, cancer-stricken and seriously ill children and their families in the Bavarian-Swabian region and provides them with loving and expert support so that they can succeed in life despite the burden.

Berlin Location – Björn Schulz Stiftung
The Björn Schulz Foundation supports children, adolescents and young adults with life-shortening illnesses from the moment they are diagnosed. The foundation provides comprehensive and professional support for children and their families with various outpatient and inpatient services, such as Sonnenhof – the hospice for children, adolescents and young adults.

Cadolzburg – Kinderhaus-Verein e.V.
The Kinderhaus-Verein e.V. in Cadolzburg offers various groups for parents with their children from baby age. The programme includes everything that promotes the little ones’ development through playing, singing, dancing, handicrafts and more.

Eggenfelden – Kind in Not
Aktionsgemeinschaft Kind in Not has set itself the goal of supporting people with various impairments and disabilities and their integration into society. It accompanies and supports those affected and their relatives with special offers and individual counselling.

The non-profit Inselhaus Kinder- und Jugendhilfe is an organisation that provides a wide range of support services for children and young people. There, they and their families are supported by educational and psychological specialists according to their needs.
