To protect your data in our systems against unauthorised access and misuse, we have implemented extensive technical and organisational measures. Data processing in the event of contact via messenger
If you have a messenger such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger or iMessage installed on your mobile device, you can use our messenger offering to apply to Greif Mietwäsche or to contact us.

By installing a messenger service, you have already agreed to the general terms and conditions of the respective services. Greif Mietwäsche has no influence over this, and the respective general terms and conditions of the provider remain unaffected by the messenger offering of Greif Mietwäsche.

In general, the general terms and conditions of the messenger providers include access to telephone numbers and the contact data stored on your mobile device. However, when you use our messenger offering in cooperation with the service provider MessengerPeople GmbH, we do not gain access to your data.

Greif Mietwäsche has no influence over the data protection provisions and settings of these platforms. Nevertheless, we handle your data with the utmost sensitivity and care within our scope. However, Greif Mietwäsche accepts no liability for damage resulting from your use of the abovementioned messenger services.

What data is processed by us and what happens to this data?
The processed data is used only and exclusively for messenger communication with you within the framework of our offering, i.e. not for advertising purposes. If you subscribe to the messenger offering of the Greif Group, the following data is processed:

WhatsApp:

  • The ID assigned to your WhatsApp account
  • The telephone number provided by you

Facebook Messenger:

  • The ID assigned to your Facebook account
  • The username you have provided on Facebook
  • The first name and last name you have provided on Facebook
  • The image you have set as your profile picture on Facebook

Apple iMessage:

  • The ID assigned to your Apple iMessage account
  • The telephone number provided by you

When you use one of these messengers, we receive from you an ID assigned to you by the service provider and your username. This is necessary for the delivery of the messages. However, because you register with our messenger offering, you cannot be identified by Greif Mietwäsche.

If you use WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger or iMessage, a transfer of personal data to the USA cannot be excluded because the service providers store messenger data on servers there. Please note that the data protection level in the USA according to the findings of the ECJ regarding the Privacy Shield decision (judgment in case C-311/18 ‘Schrems II’) is lower than in the territory covered by the EU GDPR. However, Greif Mietwäsche does not transmit your personal data or cause such a transmission. Eine Übertragung Ihrer Daten (Benutzername und ID) geschieht ausschließlich auf Basis Ihrer Registrierung bei den Dienstanbietern sowie aufgrund Ihrer Zustimmung nach Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. A DSGVO zu den entsprechenden Datenverarbeitungsbestimmungen der jeweiligen Dienstanbieter.

Unsubscribing and erasure
You can unsubscribe from our messenger offering on WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger or iMessage at any time. To do so, please send us the message ‘STOP’ in the respective messenger channel. Any of your data that was being stored by the abovementioned service providers exclusively for the use of the messenger offering of the Greif Group will then be erased.

Wearer products
By ‘wearer products’, we mean the hiring out of clothes for which we receive your size. This may also cover the cleaning of your personal, private clothes. We handle your data very carefully and have implemented separate technical and organisational measures as well as authorisation rules in our company for this purpose.
